Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mykhailo Drapatyi, after his appointment, carried out large-scale personnel changes in the military leadership. Over the past month and a half, several dozen colonels, brigadier generals, and other officers were transferred to the reserve battalion.

This is reported by "Ukrainska Pravda" after conversations with about two dozen officers of various levels.

According to the publication, the personnel review affected both the General Staff and the command staff of the troops. Drapatyi, according to UP interlocutors, seeks to leave officers with combat experience and the ability to directly command troops in leadership positions.

Among those transferred to the reserve battalion, UP names former commander of the 11th Corps Oleksii Maistrenko, commander of the 19th Corps Oleksandr Bakulin, commander of missile troops and artillery Andrii Malinovskyi, and deputy commander of the Ground Forces Oleksandr Nesterenko.

One of the publication's interlocutors claims that the officer reserve has not previously been replenished at such a pace. In particular, in just one day, about 15 officers from the international cooperation department of the General Staff were dismissed from their posts and transferred to the reserve.

At the same time, the new commander-in-chief returned to leadership officers who, under the previous military command, had been removed from direct command of troops.

Serhii Sobko invited Drapatyi to the General Staff, where he became acting deputy chief of the General Staff. Emil Ishkulov headed the 11th Corps, which is responsible for the defense of the Sloviansk and Kramatorsk area.

New commanders also came to a number of other leadership positions. The 19th Corps was headed by Valerii Skred, Sviatoslav Zaiets became commander of the Ground Forces, and Ihor Skybiuk became Chief of the General Staff. UP notes that a significant portion of the newly appointed officers have experience serving in the Air Assault Forces.

Personnel changes also affected younger-generation commanders. In particular, commander of the 141st Brigade Bohdan Shevchuk headed the 20th Corps, and commander of the 37th Brigade Serhii Shatalov headed the 30th Marine Corps.

Earlier, "Kurs Ukrainy" reported that Drapatyi began a personnel review of the General Staff. At that time, it was about evaluating officers and possible sending of some military personnel without sufficient combat experience to combat units. New information from UP indicates that a significant part of the personnel decisions have already been implemented.
