Zelensky reports Russia's preparation for a new massive shelling
Ukrainian intelligence has received updated data on Russia's preparation for a new massive strike on Ukraine. Authorities and the military are already preparing countermeasures.
President Volodymyr Zelensky announced this after a conference call with government officials, military command, and heads of key services.
"Today we received updated information from intelligence regarding the Russians' preparation for a massive strike. We are preparing countermeasures", - Zelensky stated.
The president did not disclose details about the possible timing of the attack, its scale, or potential targets.
During the meeting, the Minister of Defense and the Commander of the Air Force reported on the distribution of air defense assets and the organization of coverage lines for designated key facilities.
According to Zelensky, Ukraine is providing the necessary ammunition for F-16 fighters, interceptor means, and anti-missiles.
The most difficult situation remains with protection against ballistic missiles. The president emphasized that the supply of relevant systems and ammunition depends on international partners, with whom Ukraine works daily.
In parallel, government officials and representatives of regional authorities have prepared additional logistical solutions in response to Russian attacks on Ukrainian logistics. As a result of the meeting, deadlines for the implementation of a number of tasks were set, and some priority measures are already being implemented.
The statement came amid new Russian strikes on civilian infrastructure. According to Zelensky, hospitals in Kramatorsk and Kryvyi Rih were attacked during the day. Damage to residential buildings is also being recorded as a result of Russian attacks.
