In the first half of the trading session on Wednesday, October 7, on the interbank currency market, a balance of supply and demand is observed. Trading is conducted in a narrow range of 44.86 - 44.89 UAH.

Buyers' activity in the currency market leaves much to be desired: as of 10:52 in the Bloomberg trading system (where the NBU conducts currency interventions), transactions with a total volume of only 44 million dollars were recorded. It seems that importers have already purchased the necessary volume of currency, and speculators (who earn from buying and selling non-cash currency during the day – Ed.) are waiting for prices to become even lower.

The euro on the interbank currency market of Ukraine is again getting cheaper on Wednesday: by the time of writing, the quotes of non-cash euro dropped from 50.40 to 50.21 UAH, i.e., became 19 kopecks lower. On the international FOREX market, the euro is falling again today after yesterday's correction and has already dropped to 1.11817 dollars.

Cash dollar prices have stabilized after sharp movements at the end of last week. Both yesterday and today, wholesale exchange offices in Kyiv sell dollars at 44.88-44.90 UAH. In Odesa today, dollars are sold at 44.90-44.95 UAH, in Khmelnytskyi – at exactly 45.00 UAH.

Ukrainian banks by 11:00 sell dollars at prices ranging from 44.94 UAH in the Kyiv branch of Poltava-Bank to 45.45 UAH in Zaporizhzhia's Metbank. As for the euro, at the moment it can be purchased cheapest at 50.63 UAH in Raiffeisen Bank. As we can see, the euro in Ukraine has started to get cheaper again, clearly following the trend on the global FOREX market.
