On the morning of October 9, new power supply problems arose in Kyiv, causing public transport to partially stop. Outages were recorded in Obolonskyi, Podilskyi, and Sviatoshynskyi districts. At the same time, residents of Obolon report no electricity and water.

Restrictions on movement were reported by "Kyivpastrans" at 7:18. According to the company, due to no voltage in the power system, the operation of part of the ground public transport in three districts of the capital has been temporarily suspended.

To ensure passenger transportation, the city increased the number of buses on routes No. 32 and No. 99. Two temporary routes were also organized:

  • No. 12t - from Shevchenko Square to Pushcha-Vodytsia;
  • No. 19t - from Kontraktova Square to Shevchenko Square.

"Kyivpastrans" warned that resumption of normal traffic would be announced later. Passengers are asked to take the restrictions into account when planning trips.

Meanwhile, local Telegram channels report problems with water supply in the Obolonskyi district. According to residents, there is no cold or hot water in some buildings. There are also reports of no electricity.

Separately, residents of the capital complain about power outages outside established schedules. Such cases are reported by the Telegram channel "Kyivskyi Dvyzh". At the same time, there is currently no official confirmation of a complete blackout of the Obolonskyi district or cessation of water supply throughout its territory.

On the night of October 9, local information channels repeatedly reported the threat of jet drones near the capital. There was also information about a possible attack on an energy facility in the suburbs of Kyiv. However, there is no official confirmation of the connection of these reports with the morning outages yet.

Recall that on October 8, Kyiv already experienced significant power supply problems after Russian attacks on energy infrastructure. During the day, both hourly schedules and emergency shutdowns were in effect. Due to voltage drops, the metro temporarily stopped, and there were disruptions in the operation of ground electric transport and the water supply system.
