In Ukraine, the working week ended with a significant increase in the price of autogas. From October 5 to 9, its average retail price rose by 1.44 UAH per liter to 45.49 UAH. The biggest increase occurred on Friday, when autogas added 54 kopecks. At the same time, regular gasoline and diesel fuel remained relatively stable, and premium A-95+ became cheaper over the week.

This is evidenced by data from the daily monitoring of the "A-95" Consulting Group for October 5-9.

Autogas was becoming more expensive throughout the working week, and at the end of the week the growth rate accelerated. On Monday, October 5, its average price was 44.05 UAH/L, on Tuesday – 44.31 UAH, on Wednesday – 44.57 UAH, and on Thursday – 44.95 UAH. By Friday, the cost had risen to 45.49 UAH/L.

While on October 8 autogas became more expensive by 37 kopecks, on October 9 the increase was already 54 kopecks. Thus, in just the last two days, the average price increased by approximately 91 kopecks.

In general, since the beginning of the working week, autogas has added about 3.3% in price. If compared to the Friday of the previous week, October 2, when a liter cost 43.93 UAH, the price increase reached 1.56 UAH.

Unlike autogas, average prices for gasoline and diesel fuel changed insignificantly over the last day. Gasoline A-92 remained at 86.01 UAH/L, A-95 became cheaper by 2 kopecks, to 89.17 UAH/L, and diesel fuel added 4 kopecks and costs 98.48 UAH/L.

A more noticeable decrease was observed in the average price of A-95+ gasoline – immediately by 54 kopecks per liter, to 92.82 UAH.

Over the whole working week, among gasoline types, the price of A-95+ changed the most. Compared to October 5, its average price decreased by 75 kopecks – from 93.57 to 92.82 UAH/L.

Regular A-95 during this period became cheaper only by 8 kopecks, from 89.25 to 89.17 UAH/L. Instead, A-92 went up by 4 kopecks, to 86.01 UAH/L, and diesel fuel – by 7 kopecks, from 98.41 to 98.48 UAH/L.

Thus, the main price movement on October 5-9 was precisely for autogas, while other mass types of fuel did not show comparable growth.

Large gas station chains raised autogas prices during the week

The most noticeable weekly price increase among the eight largest operators was recorded at WOG. From October 5 to 9, autogas in this network increased in price by 3 UAH per liter – from 45.90 to 48.90 UAH.

OKKO and SOCAR during the same period raised the cost of autogas by approximately 2 UAH per liter. As of October 9, it is sold for 47.90 UAH/L at OKKO and at an average of 47.61 UAH/L at SOCAR.

At KLO during the working week, autogas became more expensive by 1.50 UAH, to 46.90 UAH/L. At AMIC the average increase was about 1.19 UAH, to 45.72 UAH/L, and at UPG – 1 UAH, to 44.90 UAH/L.

However, operators revised prices at different times. For example, on October 7, gas went up by 1 UAH at OKKO and SOCAR, and on October 8, the same increase occurred at WOG.

On Friday, October 9, OKKO, WOG, and SOCAR again raised autogas prices by 1 UAH per liter. An even larger change over the day was recorded at AMIC – on average by 1.05 UAH.

At "BRSM-Nafta" autogas on October 9 went up by 28 kopecks, to 43.49 UAH/L. At the same time, UKRNAFTA, UPG, and KLO left prices at the level of the previous day.

Among these eight, the most expensive autogas as of October 9 is sold by WOG – 48.90 UAH/L. The lowest average price remains at UKRNAFTA – 43.40 UAH/L. Thus, the difference between the two networks reached 5.50 UAH per liter.

UKRNAFTA returned premium gasoline price to the beginning of the week level

While large operators raised autogas prices, the main grades of gasoline and diesel fuel at most networks remained stable.

The exception was UKRNAFTA, which on October 9 reduced the price of A-95+ gasoline by 3 UAH per liter at once – from 91.90 to 88.90 UAH.

In fact, the network returned the premium gasoline price to the level that was in effect before the increase on October 5. At the beginning of the working week, UKRNAFTA, on the contrary, added to the price of A-95+ the same 3 UAH per liter.

This change was the main reason for the decrease in the average cost of A-95+ in Ukraine by the end of the week. At other largest networks, premium gasoline prices on October 9 remained unchanged.

Some adjustments took place in the diesel fuel segment. At AMIC, its average price over the last day rose by 61 kopecks, to 98.51 UAH/L. Instead, at "BRSM-Nafta" diesel became cheaper by approximately 9 kopecks, to 96.31 UAH/L.

Among the eight operators, the most expensive gasoline A-95 and diesel are sold by SOCAR – 94.90 and 103 UAH/L, respectively. The lowest average prices for both fuels are recorded at "BRSM-Nafta" – 85.63 and 96.31 UAH/L.

Regional networks also showed notable changes

On Friday, autogas price increases continued not only at large operators.

In particular, at the Green Wave network, represented in the monitoring of Ternopil region, autogas became more expensive by 2 UAH per liter at once – to 45.80 UAH. At VST the price rose by 1 UAH, to 45.40 UAH/L, and at BVS – by approximately 63 kopecks, to 44.57 UAH/L.

At the same time, at VostokGaz, operating in Dnipropetrovsk region, the opposite dynamic was recorded. There, gasoline A-95 became cheaper by 2 UAH, to 85.99 UAH/L, diesel fuel – by 3 UAH, to 94.99 UAH/L, and autogas – by 1 UAH, to 44.99 UAH/L.

A decrease also occurred at the "DNIPRONAFTA" network: gasoline A-95 and diesel became cheaper on average by about 1.33 UAH per liter.

Thus, the working week October 5-9 ended with a pronounced increase in prices for autogas. The increase covered most large gas station chains and intensified in the last days. At the same time, regular gasoline and diesel remained relatively stable, and the average price of premium A-95+ decreased mainly due to a price revision at one large chain.
