The National Bank of Ukraine has set the official exchange rates of foreign currencies for October 12, 2026. Compared to Friday, October 9, most major currencies appreciated against the hryvnia. The most noticeable increases were in the pound sterling, euro, and Swiss franc.

What has changed

After the weekend, the hryvnia weakened against most major foreign currencies. The Australian dollar rose the most — by 0.2257 UAH, to 31.3467 UAH. The Swiss franc gained 0.2074 UAH and reached 54.0114 UAH.

The pound sterling rose by 0.1913 UAH — to 59.3730 UAH, and the euro appreciated by 0.1753 UAH, to 50.3138 UAH.

The Canadian dollar rate increased by 0.1213 UAH — to 31.5503 UAH. The Hungarian forint, recalculated for 100 units, rose by 0.0990 UAH, to 13.7866 UAH.

The US dollar rose by 0.0368 UAH — from 44.8526 to 44.8894 UAH. The Polish zloty gained 0.0246 UAH and now costs 11.4813 UAH. The Czech koruna appreciated by 0.0111 UAH, and the Japanese yen, recalculated for 10 units, by 0.0024 UAH.

The only currency from the list that slightly depreciated was the Moldovan leu. Its rate decreased by 0.0007 UAH — to 2.5092 UAH.

Thus, on October 12, the hryvnia weakened against almost all major currencies from the list. This was most noticeable in the rates of the Australian dollar, Swiss franc, and pound sterling.
