Kyiv fully restores water supply after disruptions due to Russian attacks
On October 12, Kyiv fully restored water supply after disruptions caused by Russian attacks on energy infrastructure. The capital's water system is now operating normally, and water pressure meets standard indicators.
This was reported by the Kyiv City State Administration, citing Kyivvodokanal.
According to the utility company, water supply has been restored in all districts of the capital. Specialists continue to monitor the operation of water networks to ensure stable water delivery to city residents.
Reminder: on October 11, due to power outages, consumers in Solomianskyi, Holosiivskyi, and parts of Shevchenkivskyi and Sviatoshynskyi districts of Kyiv were temporarily without water.
Previously, Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported damage to a high-voltage power line as a result of Russian attacks. Because of this, water pressure dropped on both the right and left banks of the capital. Emergency crews were involved to restore the system.
To stabilize water supply on the right bank of the city, Kyivvodokanal specialists started additional pumping units. At the same time, due to power supply limitations, some water facilities operated at reduced capacity for a certain time.
In particular, earlier problems with water pressure persisted in the residential area of Mykilska Borshchahivka. Sewage pumping stations continued to operate normally.
As of the morning of October 12, according to the Kyiv City State Administration, problems with pressure in the city water network have been resolved. However, restoration of water supply does not mean automatic lifting of power supply restrictions, which energy companies report separately.
