The Council of the European Union has officially opened two more clusters within the framework of Ukraine's accession negotiations, according to Європейська правда.

The decision was made at the intergovernmental conference "Ukraine–EU", held after the meeting of the EU General Affairs Council.

"The Council opened Cluster 2 – "Internal Market" – and Cluster 3 – "Competitiveness and Inclusive Growth", – announced Irish Minister for European Affairs Thomas Byrne.
"We call on Ukraine to carry out further reforms, primarily within the framework of the "Fundamentals" cluster, – he added.

Earlier, Deputy Prime Minister Vsevolod Chentsov stated that opening two more clusters would require concessions.

As reported, all EU member states agreed to open Clusters 2 and 3 for Ukraine on Tuesday. For this, the Verkhovna Rada approved amendments to the education law to lift Hungary's veto.
