"Epicentr" lost its last major distribution center after shelling
Russian troops on October 13 launched ten strikes on the logistics distribution center of the company "Epicentr" in Khmelnytskyi. As a result of large-scale fires, about 85% of the goods stored at the warehouse were destroyed. It was the last major logistics complex of the network that survived after previous Russian attacks.
The company "Epicentr" reported on the consequences of the shelling on its Facebook page.
According to its information, during October 13, Russian troops attacked the logistics facility ten times. The strikes caused five large-scale fires. Extinguishing was complicated by about three dozen Russian drones that were in the sky.
Despite the large-scale destruction, none of the company's employees were injured.
The company emphasized that the destroyed complex played a key role in supplying goods to the network's shopping centers throughout Ukraine. Regular shipments of products were carried out from here.
"It is not just lost goods. It is destroyed logistics, huge financial losses, months and years of work of thousands of people", - noted in "Epicentr".
The company has not yet disclosed the exact amount of losses. It is also not reported how much time will be needed to restore logistics operations.
This is already the third major logistics complex of "Epicentr" destroyed by Russian strikes over the past two and a half months.
Let us remind that on the night of August 5, 2026, Russian missiles simultaneously hit two key logistics complexes of the company in Kyiv and Kyiv region.
In Kyiv, the distribution center on Viskona Street completely burned down. It was one of the main warehouses of "Epicentr", through which food, household chemicals and other everyday goods were supplied to the network's stores. According to information released after the attack, about 90% of the warehouse was destroyed.
Another strike hit the logistics and production complex in Kalynivka, Kyiv region. An employee of the company was killed there, and three others were injured. Russian missiles completely destroyed two large warehouse complexes and hit the Epicentr Ceramic Corporation plant.
As a result of the destruction of production furnaces, the company was forced to stop the production of ceramic tiles. "Epicentr" then announced the transfer of part of production to foreign enterprises of the group. Full restoration of the destroyed plant, according to preliminary estimates of the company, will require from one and a half to two years.
In addition to logistics facilities, in recent days Russian troops also attacked directly the network's shopping centers.
On the night of October 9, a Russian drone hit "Epicentr" in Chernihiv. As a result of the fire and destruction, about 60% of the shopping center, which the company restored after the first Russian shelling in 2022, was destroyed.
And on October 12, the shopping center "Epicentr" in Slobozhanske near Dnipro came under attack. The attack caused a fire on one of the floors of the building, which was later extinguished by rescuers.
Thus, over several days, Russian attacks damaged two shopping centers of the network and destroyed its last major distribution complex. The company assesses the consequences of the latest strike not only as a loss of inventory, but also as a serious disruption of the logistics system that ensured the operation of stores.
