Military completes fourth stage of Operation "Vivaldi": new settlements liberated

The Defense Forces of Ukraine have completed the fourth stage of the offensive operation "Vivaldi" in the north of Donetsk region. Ukrainian military liberated three more settlements and regained control over 101 km of territory.

This was reported on October 14 by the commander of the Third Army Corps, Brigadier General Andriy Biletskyi. The information about the liberation of settlements was also confirmed by the analytical project DeepState.

During the fourth stage of the operation, Ukrainian military liberated Zelena Dolyna, Lypove, and Kolodiazi. According to Biletskyi, Russian military losses during this period amounted to about 3,000 personnel.

DeepState analysts updated the combat map, confirming the transfer of the three mentioned settlements under Ukraine's control. In addition, according to their information, the Defense Forces regained control over territories near Stavky and Shandryholove.

Biletskyi noted that Operation "Vivaldi" was initially aimed at eliminating the Russian penetration into Ukrainian defense, but later grew into larger-scale offensive actions.

According to him, Ukrainian units managed to disrupt the Russian command's plans to encircle the Sloviansk-Kramatorsk agglomeration from the flanks and maintain important transport connection between Kharkiv region and Donetsk region.

"We did not allow the enemy to bypass the Sloviansk-Kramatorsk agglomeration from the flanks and pin it in a pincer movement", - stated the corps commander.

He also claims that Ukrainian military disrupted the advance of the Russian grouping "Zapad". According to Biletskyi's assessment, the enemy was forced to redeploy part of the units of the 1st Tank Army, which reduced pressure on the Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi direction.

In total, during the four stages of Operation "Vivaldi", according to the Third Army Corps, Ukrainian military liberated 16 settlements and returned 277 km of territory under full control of Ukraine.

Biletskyi assessed the total Russian army losses during the operation at 8,000 servicemen. There is currently no independent confirmation of this figure.

Servicemen of the Third Separate Assault Brigade, 60th, 125th, and 66th brigades, reconnaissance and tank units of the Third Army Corps, border guards, units of the Special Operations Forces, the National Guard, and the Unmanned Systems Forces took part in the operation.

The command of the Third Army Corps announced the completion of all four stages of the operation, while implying that combat work continues.

As a reminder, earlier "Kurs Ukrainy" reported on the beginning of the offensive operation "Vivaldi", during which Ukrainian units gradually regained control over territories in the north of Donetsk region. Later, Biletskyi revealed the results of the third stage, during which the Defense Forces also liberated three settlements.
