Russian strikes damage agro-industrial enterprises in Rivne region
On the night of October 14 and in the morning, Russian troops attacked the Rivne region. As a result of the strikes, two agro-industrial enterprises and residential infrastructure were damaged. Five people were injured, and one person was pulled from under the rubble by rescuers.
This was reported by the head of the Rivne Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Koval.
According to him, the air raid alert in the region lasted throughout the night and morning. As a result of the Russian strikes, hits on civilian infrastructure were recorded.
"We have hits directly on residential infrastructure. Also, two enterprises of the agro-industrial complex were hit", — Koval reported.
The names of the affected enterprises, their location, and the nature of the damage were not specified by the regional head. Also, there is currently no information about a possible halt in production, the extent of destroyed equipment, or the amount of material losses.
Thus, it is currently impossible to assess the impact of the night attack on the work of the agro-industrial sector of the region. The scale of the damage is being established by the relevant services.
Five injured, one with polytrauma
According to preliminary data from the Rivne Regional Military Administration, five people were injured as a result of the Russian strikes. One person with polytrauma was pulled from under the rubble by rescuers. Their condition is assessed as moderate severity.
According to Koval, all the injured are alive. There have been no reports of deaths as of the time of his statement.
Units of the State Emergency Service, the National Police, and the Security Service of Ukraine are working at the impact sites. Local authorities are also involved in the aftermath management.
At the same time, emergency rescue operations were complicated by repeated air raid alerts, which forced temporary suspension of some measures.
"All necessary measures are being taken to quickly eliminate all the consequences", — the regional head noted.
In addition, the regional and city commissions on technogenic and environmental safety and emergencies are considering the possibility of switching educational institutions to remote work.
A final decision regarding the change in the learning mode had not been made at the time of the statement. The authorities are holding additional consultations and informing parents.
