The largest Polish marketplace Allegro has officially begun direct sales of goods to Ukrainian customers with delivery via Nova Poshta. At the first stage, more than a million product offers from Polish sellers became available to Ukrainians, including generators, charging stations, and other equipment for winter preparation.

The company announced the launch of the new service on October 14 in its official press release. Currently, the project is operating in pilot mode, with several hundred selected Polish sellers involved.

Ukrainian buyers can place orders directly on allegro.pl or through the marketplace's mobile app, which has a Ukrainian-language version. The company is not yet launching a separate full-fledged Ukrainian trading platform.

A significant part of the available assortment consists of goods for ensuring autonomy during power outages. Among them are electric generators, portable charging stations, gas heaters, tools, and hygiene products.

Allegro One Kurier is responsible for transportation within Poland, and Nova Poshta provides delivery in Ukraine. The companies have integrated logistics and customs systems to simplify international shipments.

Allegro will automatically generate export documents, assist sellers with customs codes, and translate product offers into Ukrainian. Settlements with Polish sellers will be made in zlotys, allowing them to avoid currency risks.

At the same time, ordinary import rules will apply for Ukrainian buyers. According to Allegro, parcels worth up to 150 euros are generally exempt from customs duties and VAT. For more expensive orders, customs payments may be charged. Certain categories of goods, such as alcohol, perfumes, coffee, and tea, have exceptions.

If taxes or duties need to be paid upon import, Nova Post will handle their collection before delivery or upon receipt of the parcel.

Allegro expects that the new direction will open access to the Ukrainian market, which the company estimates has almost 12 million active buyers, for Polish small and medium businesses.

According to Allegro's Director of New Business Development Grzegorz Czapski, the company will first test the efficiency of logistics and trading processes with a limited group of partners. After that, they plan to gradually open the possibility to sell goods to Ukrainians to all Polish sellers on the platform.

Allegro already operates in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Hungary, where it has about 6 million buyers. Ukraine has become the next destination for the marketplace's international expansion.

We remind you that in May, "Kurs Ukrainy" reported on the preparation of Allegro's entry into the Ukrainian market. At that time, the company was only testing an international delivery model and recruiting the first sellers. Now the service has officially launched for Ukrainian buyers.
