Reactive "Shahed" hit a supermarket in Odesa region: three wounded
On October 15, a Russian reactive drone of the "Shahed" type attacked a civilian retail facility in Odesa region. As a result of the strike, the store was partially destroyed and cars were damaged. Three people were wounded.
This was reported by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy. His statement was also distributed by the State Emergency Service.
According to local media, the supermarket "Tavria V" in the village of Mayaky, Odesa region, was hit. The Russian drone struck directly into the building of the retail establishment, after which a fire broke out.
Video footage posted on social media shows the moment of the drone's impact and the fire in the premises. Part of the store's structures suffered significant damage.
The president confirmed that three people were wounded. Information about their condition and the nature of the injuries has not yet been specified.
Rescuers and other emergency services are working at the site of the strike. The injured are receiving necessary assistance, and the aftermath of the attack is being addressed.
According to Zelenskyy, Russian troops continue to strike civilian facilities, including residential buildings, stores, and energy infrastructure.
The president emphasized the need to strengthen Ukraine's air defense to counter Russian drones, particularly reactive modifications of "Shaheds."
Separately, Zelenskyy criticized signals from the United States regarding a possible further easing of sanctions against Russia. In his opinion, such steps could encourage Moscow to continue strikes and provide it with additional revenues to wage war.
The head of state called on international partners to maintain sanctions pressure on Russia and increase support for Ukraine.
