On the evening of October 15, Russian troops attacked Volyn region with jet drones. As a result of falling debris from one of the downed drones, power lines were damaged. In some areas of Lutsk, interruptions in electricity and water supply occurred.

This was reported by the acting head of the Volyn Regional Military Administration, Roman Romaniuk.

According to him, during the evening attack, three Russian jet drones were present in the airspace of Volyn region. Air defense forces destroyed all three targets.

However, debris from one of the downed UAVs fell in the territory of Lutsk community and damaged power lines. As a result, part of consumers were left without electricity. Also, interruptions in the water supply system occurred.

Emergency crews have already begun eliminating the consequences of the attack. As of 21:45, specialists were working to restore electricity supply. At the same time, measures are being taken to resume water supply.

According to reporters of "Suspilne", an explosion in Lutsk sounded at approximately 20:20. Immediately after that, residents of some neighborhoods reported loss of electricity and water.

Air alarm in Lutsk district was announced at 19:20. During the attack, the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine repeatedly warned about the approach of jet drones to the regional center.

The exact scope of damage and the number of consumers left without utilities remain unclear. The timeframe for full restoration of electricity and water supply has not been announced either.

This is already the second attack by Russian jet drones on Lutsk in the last two days. On the afternoon of October 14, falling drone debris destroyed a large commercial facility "Eurohurt", and a residential multi-story building was also damaged. The previous attack killed six people and injured 12 more.
