244 combat engagements recorded at the front: General Staff names hottest directions

Since the beginning of the day on October 15, 244 combat engagements have occurred at the front between Ukrainian defenders and Russian troops. The enemy carried out the most intense attacks in the Pokrovsk, Kostyantynivka, and Hulyaipole directions.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in its operational update as of 22:00.

In the Pokrovsk direction, Russian forces made 31 attacks. The enemy tried to advance near Dorozhne, as well as in the direction of Toretsk, Pavlivka, Novopavlivka, Vilne, Kucheriv Yar, Hannivka, Dobropillia, Svitlyi, Krasnopillia, and Serhiivka.

According to preliminary data from the General Staff, Ukrainian forces in this sector eliminated 82 Russian servicemen, and another 14 were wounded. Seven vehicles, four pieces of special equipment, and 39 enemy shelters were destroyed.

In addition, four drone control points and 53 shelters of Russian units were damaged. The Defense Forces destroyed or suppressed 14 enemy drones of various types.

In the Kostyantynivka direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 22 assaults. Russian units attacked near Kostyantynivka and Dovha Balka, and also tried to advance towards Rozkishne, Mykolaipillia, and Raiske.

In the Hulyaipole direction, the Defense Forces stopped 17 Russian attacks. The enemy tried to advance towards Rizdvianka, Dolynka, and Horkoho.

Another 16 assaults were recorded in the South Sloboda direction. Russian forces attacked near Starytsia, Izbytske, and Chuhunivka, as well as in the direction of Buzove and Radkivka.

In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian units repelled six offensive attempts in the direction of Olhivka, Druzhliubivka, and Lyman. As of 22:00, one engagement was ongoing.

In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy tried three times to improve its positions in the direction of Novoosinove and Shyikivka. One engagement was also ongoing.

In the Kramatorsk direction, Russian forces conducted three attacks, and in the Sloviansk direction – two. Two more assaults were recorded in the Orikhiv direction, where one engagement was still ongoing at the time of publication.

In the North Sloboda and Kursk directions, Russian forces carried out one airstrike using three guided aerial bombs and conducted 63 shellings of Ukrainian positions and settlements.

In the Oleksandrivka and Prydniprovske directions, Russian units did not conduct any offensive actions during the day.

In total, since the beginning of the day, the Russian army carried out 91 airstrikes, using 115 guided aerial bombs. In addition, the enemy used 3,812 kamikaze drones and carried out 2,433 shellings of Ukrainian positions and settlements.

The General Staff noted that no significant changes in the operational situation occurred in other directions.
