Bank gold remains one of the ways to diversify savings and protect part of the capital from inflation and currency fluctuations. In Ukraine in 2026, physical gold bars can be bought, in particular, at PrivatBank, MTB Bank, Cominvestbank and Radabank. However, prices for the same weight of metal differ noticeably, and the availability of the desired bar depends on the specific branch.

When choosing a bank, it is important to consider not only the purchase price, but also the price at which the bank is willing to subsequently buy back the gold. The difference between these prices can be significant, especially for small bars.

Where gold bars are sold in Ukraine

Currently, the following four banks are seriously involved in selling bars made of bank metals: - PrivatBank; - MTB Bank; - Cominvestbank; - Radabank.

PrivatBank offers operations with bank metals, but information about current prices and bar availability is not accessible for all branches. According to the bank's data published in September 2026, the cost of gold depended, among other things, on the bar category. Before purchasing, you need to check the current rate and available weight directly at the bank.

MTB Bank publishes quotes for gold bars of various weights — from 1 g to 100 g. The offer also includes bars weighing 2 g, 2.5 g, 5 g, 10 g, 20 g and one troy ounce. Cominvestbank offers gold bars weighing from 1 g, including options of 2 g, 2.5 g, 5 g, 10 g, 20 g, 50 g and 100 g. For large bars, the bank publishes separate quotes depending on the type of production — stamped and cast. Source.

Radabank sells gold bars from 1 g to 100 g, including bars from leading international manufacturers. The bank's official website presents purchase and sale prices, as well as a list of branches working with bank metals. The bank recommends contacting a manager beforehand to confirm availability and reserve the bar. Source.

How much bank gold costs in October 2026

For comparison, we use the published sale quotes for gold bars. The most recent available data for MTB Bank and Cominvestbank is dated October 15, 2026. For Radabank, prices from the official website are used, and for PrivatBank — the last available published value for September 14–16. Therefore, PrivatBank's prices cannot be considered confirmed quotes as of October 16.

*For PrivatBank, a historical value is given; the current price needs to be confirmed.

Note: the price per gram in the table is not equal to the total cost of the bar. For example, a 5-gram Cominvestbank bar at the published price of 6,860 UAH per gram would cost about 34,300 UAH, and a 10-gram bar would cost 68,000 UAH at the rate of 6,800 UAH per gram. The final amount should be confirmed with the bank before the transaction.

Where it is more profitable to buy gold

According to published quotes, Cominvestbank looks the most advantageous among the banks for which comparable prices are available for most weight categories. Its price per gram is lower than MTB Bank for bars from 1 g to 100 g. For example, a 20-gram bar is offered at 6,750 UAH per gram, and a 50-gram bar at 6,625 UAH.

Radabank has attractive published prices for small bars: 1 g — 8,040 UAH, 5 g — 7,020 UAH per gram. But before buying, it is worth comparing the final amount with Cominvestbank's current offer, as quotes may change.

MTB Bank also offers a wide range of weight categories. At the same time, for small bars the cost per gram is noticeably higher than for large ones. Thus, a 1-gram bar costs 8,420 UAH per gram, while a 50-gram bar costs 6,780 UAH.

For PrivatBank, no conclusion about current profitability can be made without a fresh quote. The published price of 6,680 UAH per gram for a 100-gram bar looks competitive, but this is a historical value that needs to be rechecked.

Which bars are better to buy

The choice depends on the amount you are willing to invest and on how likely it is that the gold will need to be sold in the coming years.

  • 1–2.5 g — suitable for buying with a small budget, but the price per gram is usually higher. Due to the difference between the purchase price and the buyback, such bars are less advantageous for short-term investments.
  • 5–10 g — a compromise between affordability and price per gram. This is a convenient option for gradually building gold savings.
  • 20–50 g — often more profitable per gram. They are worth considering if you have a sufficient amount and are ready to store gold for a long time.
  • 100 g — allows you to get a relatively low cost per gram, but requires a larger initial investment. If you need to sell part of your savings, you will have to sell the entire bar.

For investment purposes, it makes sense to compare not only the purchase price, but also the buyback. For example, according to Cominvestbank quotes as of October 15, the difference between sale and buyback was about 1,200 UAH per gram for a 1-gram bar, but only about 650 UAH per gram for a stamped 100-gram bar. This means that the gold price must rise sufficiently to cover the initial price gap before the investment starts to yield profit.

What to check before buying

  1. Availability of a specific bar. Not all branches work with gold, and popular weight categories may be out of stock. Be sure to confirm availability before purchasing.
  2. Current sale price. Quotes can change daily and may differ between branches of the same bank.
  3. Buyback price. Find out at what price the bank is willing to take the bar back and what requirements it imposes on its condition.
  4. Packaging and certificate. Bars in undamaged factory packaging with manufacturer's documents are preferable. Damage to packaging may affect buyback conditions.
  5. Documents for paperwork. In advance, clarify which identity document will be required, as well as what requirements apply for large purchases.

In particular, Radabank offers preliminary reservation of a bar through a manager. This allows you to confirm the availability of the needed weight and arrange a time to visit the branch.

Conclusion

In October 2026, among the four banks considered, Cominvestbank appears most attractive based on published prices for a wide range of weight categories. Radabank deserves attention when buying small bars, and MTB Bank offers a wide choice of weights. PrivatBank should be included in the comparison after obtaining a current quote.

For long-term savings, it is reasonable to compare bars weighing 10, 20 and 50 g: they allow you to reduce the markup on the per-gram price compared to the smallest denominations. But there is no universal winner — prices change, and the availability of a specific bar needs to be confirmed right before the transaction.

The main rule: before going to the bank, call the chosen branch, find out the price, the availability of the bar of the desired weight and its buyback conditions. This will help avoid unnecessary trips and choose a truly advantageous offer.
