On the night of October 16, Russian troops attacked the energy and industrial infrastructure of the Odesa region. The strikes damaged a DTEK facility, a household goods manufacturing enterprise, and residential buildings. Four people were injured.

This was reported by the Odesa Regional Military Administration, the State Emergency Service, and the energy company DTEK.

According to the Regional Military Administration, the Russian strikes caused large-scale fires at civilian facilities. In particular, an energy infrastructure facility and a household goods manufacturing enterprise were damaged, and a fire broke out on the enterprise's territory.

In addition, in the morning, as a result of a repeated attack, seven private residential buildings were damaged. According to the State Emergency Service, no one was injured during this strike.

Firefighting was complicated by the constant threat of new attacks. Rescuers were forced to repeatedly suspend work and move to safe places. As of the morning, all fires have been extinguished, and the relevant services continue to work on site.

A separate strike hit a DTEK energy facility. Equipment damage led to power supply disruptions in the region.

According to the company, as of the morning of October 16, power engineers managed to restore electricity supply for 33,300 families who were left without power as a result of the night attack.

"Repairs are ongoing. Restoration of the damaged equipment takes time. We are doing everything possible to return power to every home as soon as possible", DTEK reported.

The company has not yet announced the exact time frame for completing the repair work. Information on the number of consumers still without electricity has also not been specified.
