Average diesel price exceeded UAH 100: fuel price overview at Ukrainian gas stations
On October 16, fuel prices continued to rise at Ukrainian gas stations. The average diesel price for the first time this week exceeded UAH 100 per liter, and autogas approached UAH 50. For the five working days, these two fuels demonstrated the greatest price increases.
This is evidenced by the daily monitoring data of the Consulting Group “A-95” as of October 16.
The average price of diesel fuel in Ukraine rose by 84 kopiykas per day – to UAH 100.43/l. This is the largest daily increase in diesel since the beginning of the week. The day before it rose by 52 kopiykas, and on October 14 – by 33 kopiykas.
Autogas added 83 kopiykas per day to an average of UAH 49.11/l. Although its rate of increase slowed slightly compared to Thursday, when the price rose by more than a hryvnia, the overall trend remains upward.
In contrast, gasoline rose significantly less. The average price of A-95 increased by 3 kopiykas to UAH 89.72/l, premium A-95+ by 4 kopiykas to UAH 93.59/l. A-92 gasoline remained at UAH 86.20/l.
Average fuel prices in Ukraine as of October 16
| Fuel type | October 16, UAH/l | October 15, UAH/l | Change, UAH/l |
|---|---|---|---|
| А-92 | 86.20 | 86.20 | 0.00 |
| А-95 | 89.72 | 89.69 | +0.03 |
| А-95+ | 93.59 | 93.55 | +0.04 |
| Diesel | 100.43 | 99.59 | +0.84 |
| Autogas | 49.11 | 48.28 | +0.83 |
Thus, diesel increased the most over the day. Its average price has already exceeded UAH 100 per liter, while autogas is gradually approaching UAH 50. Gasoline is so far showing much more moderate dynamics.
Situation in the eight largest gas station chains
Among the large operators, the main changes again occurred in diesel and autogas. Most chains kept gasoline prices at the previous level.
The largest increase in diesel among the eight operators was in WOG – up by UAH 1.60 per liter to UAH 102.50. OKKO, UKRNAFTA, UPG and SOCAR raised its price by UAH 1. In the AMIC chain, the average diesel price rose by 56 kopiykas, in “BRSM-Nafta” – by 72 kopiykas.
Only KLO kept the diesel price unchanged at UAH 99.90/l.
In the autogas market, the largest increase among the eight chains was recorded in SOCAR – by UAH 2 to UAH 50.47/l. In WOG, UKRNAFTA and KLO, gas rose by UAH 1 per liter, in “BRSM-Nafta” – by an average of UAH 1.02, and in AMIC – by approximately 85 kopiykas.
Meanwhile OKKO and UPG did not change autogas prices.
Fuel prices in the largest gas station chains as of October 16

All prices and changes are in hryvnias per liter. Change – compared to October 15.
The most expensive A-95 gasoline among the eight operators is sold by SOCAR – UAH 94.90/l. The lowest average price for this grade is at KLO – UAH 87.40/l. The difference is UAH 7.50 per liter, or UAH 375 when filling a 50-liter tank.
For diesel, the highest price is also at SOCAR – UAH 105/l, the lowest – at “BRSM-Nafta”, UAH 98.17/l. The difference reaches UAH 6.83 per liter.
Among the eight chains, autogas is most expensive at WOG – UAH 50.50/l, almost the same at SOCAR – UAH 50.47/l. The lowest average price is offered by “BRSM-Nafta” – UAH 47.26/l.
Where fuel rose the most
Among other gas station operators, even more noticeable changes were recorded on October 16.
Autogas increased the most in the EURO5 chain – immediately by UAH 4 per liter to UAH 51.90. At the same time diesel at these stations added UAH 2 and costs UAH 105/l.
In the “Avantage 7” chain, autogas rose by an average of UAH 2.04 – to UAH 48.99/l. At Brent Oil stations, gas added UAH 2 to UAH 51.95/l. A similar increase was recorded in Mango, where it costs UAH 49.99/l.
In the Marshal chain, autogas rose by an average of UAH 1.97 – to UAH 51.13/l. At Green Wave stations, its price rose by UAH 2 to UAH 48.80/l.
Notable changes also occurred in the diesel market. The Grand Petrol and EURO5 chains raised prices by UAH 2 per liter, and Chipo – by an average of UAH 1.73.
However, isolated price reductions were also recorded. In particular, at VostokGaz, A-95 gasoline and diesel fell by UAH 2 per liter – to UAH 86.99 and UAH 97.99 respectively. In the “DniproNafta” chain, A-95 gasoline fell by UAH 1 to UAH 86.99/l.
Weekly summary: autogas rose the most
Over the five working days from October 12 to 16, average prices for all main fuels in Ukraine rose, but the pace of increase differed significantly.
Autogas rose the most during this period – by UAH 2.87 per liter, or approximately 6.2%. If on Monday its average price was UAH 46.24/l, by Friday it reached UAH 49.11/l.
Diesel fuel added UAH 1.75 over the same period – from UAH 98.68 to UAH 100.43/l. Thus, the increase was approximately 1.8%.
Gasoline rose much more slowly. A-95 added 36 kopiykas over the week, A-92 – 19 kopiykas, and premium A-95+ – 18 kopiykas per liter.
The increase in diesel and autogas was especially noticeable in the second half of the week. On Thursday the average autogas price jumped by more than a hryvnia, and on Friday the largest daily increase was recorded by diesel.
Compared to the beginning of the week, filling a 50-liter tank with diesel at the average price became more expensive by UAH 87.50. For autogas, the equivalent increase for 50 liters is UAH 143.50.
Thus, the main trend of the week was the accelerated rise in diesel and autogas against a background of relatively stable gasoline prices. At the same time, the gap between the most expensive and cheapest chains remains significant.
