The Rada proposed to cancel the Cabinet's decision on reservations
On October 16, the Verkhovna Rada registered draft resolution No. 16160, which proposes to review the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers on restricting the reservation of conscripted employees of critical enterprises. The initiative was supported by 63 people's deputies.
This was reported by one of the authors of the document, people's deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak.
The parliamentarians propose recommending that the government cancel the decision of October 13, which provides for a review of the possibilities for reserving employees of enterprises important for the economy and defense capability of the country.
In addition, the deputies insist on holding consultations with business representatives before adopting final changes to the reservation mechanism.
A separate provision concerns the creation of a Coordination Center, which should participate in resolving reservation issues. The authors of the resolution propose to review the feasibility of its creation in its current form. If the center does begin operation, it is recommended to include business representatives in its composition.
According to Zheleznyak, the deputies also planned to hand over the resolution to the Prime Minister during the question hour to the government in the Verkhovna Rada.
At the same time, on October 16, Prime Minister Serhiy Koretsky stated that the Cabinet does not plan radical changes in the reservation of employees of enterprises that ensure defense capability and the functioning of critical infrastructure. However, the government continues to review the mechanism of 100% reservation due to identified abuses.
Currently, draft resolution No. 16160 is registered and submitted for consideration to the leadership of the Verkhovna Rada. The parliament has not yet voted on the document. Its registration does not cancel the government decision and does not change the current reservation procedure.
