Ukraine has canceled anti-dumping duties on imports of steel fasteners from China. The corresponding decision was made by the Interdepartmental Commission on International Trade on October 12 and entered into force on October 13, 2026.

This was reported by the State Customs Service of Ukraine.

By decision No. АД-609/2026/441-01, the commission completed the review of anti-dumping measures introduced in September 2020. The restrictions applied to certain types of steel bolts, screws, and nuts imported from China.

The reason for canceling the duties was the consequences of the war for Ukrainian production. The review was conducted at the request of the Druzhkivka Hardware Plant. The commission established that the enterprise has not been producing products for a long time, and its main facilities are located in an area where hostilities took place or are ongoing.

In addition, the Ukrainian manufacturer could not confirm its ability to produce certain types of fasteners under current conditions. At the same time, anti-dumping duties also applied to products that the enterprise does not produce at all.

In the meantime, the investigation confirmed that in 2022–2024, Chinese fasteners were supplied to Ukraine at dumped prices. However, in view of the state of Ukrainian production, the commission concluded that the continued application of restrictions does not correspond to national interests.

The cancellation also extends to anti-dumping measures against similar products from Malaysia, which Ukraine introduced in January 2026 to prevent circumvention of restrictions on Chinese imports.

For importers, the decision means the cessation of collection of an additional anti-dumping duty on the relevant types of fasteners. At the same time, this does not cancel other customs payments provided for by legislation.

By separate decision No. АД-610/2026/441-01, the commission initiated a review of anti-dumping measures regarding imports of cement from Turkey in connection with the expiry of their application period. Unlike Chinese fasteners, duties on Turkish cement have been maintained for now—they will remain in effect until a final decision is made based on the review.
