On Monday, October 19, a surge in demand for non-cash currency was recorded on the interbank foreign exchange market, which has already led to an increase in the quotations of non-cash dollar from 44.80 to 44.995 hryvnias on the bid. The National Bank is actively selling currency to all comers, but at the same time makes no attempts to stop the growth of the dollar exchange rate.

The volume of transactions in the Bloomberg trading system as of 10:50 is more than 150 million dollars. The euro on the interbank foreign exchange market of Ukraine on Monday is trading in a narrow range of 50.31-50.44 hryvnias on the bid.

Already the third day, the euro trading on the interbank market is proceeding at the same level, which once again confirms the intention of the NBU to keep stable not the dollar exchange rate, but precisely the euro. On the international currency market FOREX, the euro is again declining against the backdrop of large-scale protests in several European countries and by now has dropped to the level of 1.1180 dollars.
