The 'Planeta Plastic' factory in Irpin has again suffered significant destruction as a result of shelling
Russian missiles on the night of October 19 directly hit the production facilities of the 'Planeta Plastic' factory in Irpin, Kyiv region. The enterprise suffered significant destruction, but all of its employees survived and are safe.
The company 'Planeta Plastic' reported this on its official Facebook page.
"Tonight, from October 18 to 19, Russian missiles hit the production facilities of the 'Planeta Plastic' factory directly. The company again suffered significant destruction", - the statement says.
Currently, the enterprise is assessing the scale of the damage caused. The company has not yet released information about damaged equipment, the possibility of resuming production, and estimated repair timeframes.
Representatives of the plant thanked the rescuers working at the strike site, as well as everyone who supports the enterprise.
'Planeta Plastic' is a Ukrainian manufacturer of polymer products for agriculture, construction, and other industries. The company produces polyethylene sleeves for grain storage, greenhouse, packaging, and construction films, as well as polyethylene pipes.
The enterprise already suffered large-scale destruction in March 2022 during the Russian offensive on Kyiv region. At that time, the main production facilities, warehouses, and equipment were destroyed.
After the liberation of Irpin, the company gradually resumed operations. In September 2025, it announced the construction of a new plant for the production of polyethylene pipes, part of whose energy needs are provided by solar generation.
At the same time, at the end of August 2026, 'Planeta Plastic' announced the suspension of production indefinitely due to the worsening security situation. Whether the company had resumed work before the current strike is currently unknown.
Earlier, the Ministry of Defense of Russia directly named the 'Planeta Plastic' factory among the objects hit during the night attack. The Russian department also claimed that the enterprise allegedly produced polymer materials for the needs of the military industry.
There is no independent confirmation of this claim. In the open catalog of the company's products, materials for the agricultural sector, construction, packaging, and infrastructure needs are primarily presented.
Earlier, "Kurs Ukrainy" reported about serious damage to one of the largest enterprises in Irpin as a result of a night missile strike. At that time, local authorities did not specify the name of the affected manufacturer.
In local reports, Ecosoft, a manufacturer of water purification systems, was also named among possible affected enterprises. At the same time, there is currently no official confirmation from Ecosoft itself regarding damage to its production facilities.
