177 combat clashes occurred at the front: General Staff reported on the situation as of the evening
During October 19, Russian troops continued to attack positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces. As of 22:00, 177 combat clashes were recorded along the front line. The enemy conducted the most active offensive actions in the South Slobozhanske, Pokrovske, and Kostiantynivka directions.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the evening operational update for October 19.
According to Ukrainian military command, during the day Russian troops launched one missile strike and 47 air strikes, using 171 guided aerial bombs.
In addition, the enemy employed 4,911 kamikaze drones and carried out 1,775 shellings of settlements and positions of Ukrainian service members.
In which directions fighting continued
In the South Slobozhanske direction, 22 combat clashes occurred near Starytsia, Mala Vovcha, Izbytske, Vovcha, Okhrymivka, and other settlements. As of 22:00, three battles were ongoing.
In the Pokrovske direction, the Russian army carried out 16 attacks near Sofiivka, Vilne, Kucheriv Yar, Dobropillia, Myrne, Serhiivka, and other settlements. One clash was still ongoing at the time of publication.
In the Kostiantynivka direction, 12 combat clashes were recorded near Kostiantynivka, Novoselivka, Druzhkivka, and Novopavlivka. Three battles remained unfinished.
In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian units repelled nine attacks by Russian troops. Three more attacks were repelled in the Sloviansk direction.
In the Huliaipole direction, the enemy carried out nine attacks near Rizdvianka, Dolynka, Horkoho, Charivne, and Yehorivka.
General Staff reported on Russian army losses
According to preliminary estimates by Ukrainian command, in the Pokrovske direction, 26 Russian service members were eliminated during the day, and six more were wounded.
Also, Ukrainian defenders destroyed four vehicles, one piece of special equipment, and a control point for unmanned aerial vehicles.
In addition, four vehicles, two pieces of special equipment, two drone control points, and 27 enemy shelters were damaged.
In this direction, Ukrainian soldiers destroyed or suppressed 167 drones of various types.
According to the General Staff, Russian troops did not conduct offensive actions during the day in the North Slobozhanske, Kupiansk, Kramatorsk, Oleksandrivka, Orikhiv, and Prydniprovske directions.
No significant changes in the situation were recorded on other sections of the front.
