Diesel passed a new price mark, autogas continued to rise
On Tuesday, October 20, fuel prices continued to rise at Ukrainian gas stations. Autogas rose the most during the day, while diesel continued to approach new price highs. Gasoline prices changed insignificantly.
This is evidenced by the daily monitoring data of the Consulting Group "A-95" as of October 20 compared to the previous day.
The average price of autogas in Ukraine rose by 81 kopecks to 51.37 UAH per liter. Thus, after a significant increase over the weekend, this type of fuel continued to grow in price.
Diesel fuel added an average of 48 kopecks during the day and now costs 102.23 UAH/L. On October 19 its average cost was 101.75 UAH/L.
Gasoline A-95 rose by only 6 kopecks to 89.85 UAH/L. The average price of A-92 increased by 20 kopecks to 86.44 UAH/L. Premium A-95+ remained at the previous level – 93.59 UAH/L.
Average fuel prices in Ukraine
| Fuel type | October 20, UAH/L | October 19, UAH/L | Change, UAH/L |
|---|---|---|---|
| A-92 | 86.44 | 86.24 | +0.20 |
| A-95 | 89.85 | 89.79 | +0.06 |
| A-95+ | 93.59 | 93.59 | 0.00 |
| Diesel fuel | 102.23 | 101.75 | +0.48 |
| Autogas | 51.37 | 50.57 | +0.81 |
Due to rounding of average indicators to kopecks, the arithmetic difference between the given prices may sometimes differ from the change indicated in the monitoring by one kopeck.
At current average prices, refueling a car with 50 liters of diesel fuel will cost 5111.50 UAH, and the same volume of autogas – 2568.50 UAH.
Among major operators, the main price increase also affected diesel fuel and autogas. During the day, autogas prices increased in six of eight chains, and diesel – in five.
At the same time, gasoline A-95 rose only in the "BRSM-Nafta" chain. In the other seven operators, average prices for this grade remained unchanged.
The table shows average prices and their daily changes in hryvnias per liter.
Major chains continued to raise diesel prices

Among the eight operators, diesel fuel rose the most at OKKO, WOG, and KLO – by 1 UAH per liter.
At OKKO its average price increased to 104.90 UAH/L, at WOG – to 104.50 UAH/L, and at KLO – to 102.90 UAH/L.
The AMIC chain raised the average cost of diesel by 81 kopecks to 101.98 UAH/L. At UPG stations this type of fuel rose by 40 kopecks to 101.90 UAH/L.
UKRNAFTA, SOCAR, and "BRSM-Nafta" did not change diesel prices.
The most expensive diesel among the eight operators remains at SOCAR – 105 UAH/L. The lowest average price is offered by UKRNAFTA – 99.90 UAH/L. The difference between them is 5.10 UAH per liter.
Autogas rose in most major chains
Among the eight operators, the largest average autogas price increase was recorded at AMIC – by 1.08 UAH to 51.87 UAH/L.
WOG, UKRNAFTA, and UPG raised prices by 1 UAH per liter. Now autogas in these chains costs respectively 52.50, 49.90, and 51.50 UAH/L.
At "BRSM-Nafta" the average autogas price increased by 72 kopecks to 49.45 UAH/L. The KLO chain raised it by 50 kopecks to 51.40 UAH/L.
OKKO and SOCAR did not change the cost of autogas during the day. In these chains it costs respectively 51.90 and 52.47 UAH/L.
Thus, the cheapest autogas among the eight operators is sold by "BRSM-Nafta" – on average 49.45 UAH/L. The highest price is recorded at WOG – 52.50 UAH/L.
Smaller chains changed prices even more noticeably
Among other gas station operators, much larger changes in the cost of certain fuel types were recorded.
In particular, in the SUNOIL chain the average autogas price rose immediately by 4.05 UAH per liter to 53.95 UAH/L. This is one of the largest increases among operators represented in the monitoring.
The "SVOI" chain raised the average cost of autogas by 3.09 UAH to 52.99 UAH/L. At VST stations it rose by 3 UAH and now costs 55.90 UAH/L – one of the highest indicators among operators in the sample.
At the same time, in the "Olas" chain a noticeable increase in A-95 gasoline prices was recorded – by 3.90 UAH to 91.80 UAH/L. Diesel fuel in this chain rose by 2.70 UAH to 102.60 UAH/L.
At Brent Oil stations the average diesel price increased by 2 UAH to 99.75 UAH/L. Autogas also rose by 2 UAH to 53.95 UAH/L.
At the same time, there were cases of price reductions. In particular, the VostokGaz chain reduced the average cost of A-95 gasoline and diesel fuel by 2 UAH per liter – to 87.99 and 100 UAH/L respectively.
At "DNIPRONAFTA" A-95 gasoline fell by 1 UAH to 86.99 UAH/L, and diesel – by 67 kopecks to 98.66 UAH/L. At the same time, autogas in the chain rose by 1.50 UAH to 52.99 UAH/L.
Thus, after a significant price increase over the weekend, the Ukrainian fuel market continues to rise in price. The main growth falls on autogas and diesel fuel, while gasoline prices in major chains remain mostly stable.
