On Thursday, October 22, hourly power outage schedules will continue to apply in some regions of Ukraine. The restrictions will affect household consumers, enterprises, and businesses. The reason remains damage to energy infrastructure as a result of Russian missile and drone attacks.

This was reported by the press service of NPC Ukrenergo on the evening of October 21. Information about the upcoming restrictions was published by Glavcom.

According to the announced plan, outages will be applied from 06:00 to 23:59. The company has provided for the following restrictions:

  • From 06:00 to 23:59 — hourly power outage schedules for all categories of consumers in some regions. From one to two queues may be disconnected simultaneously.
  • From 06:00 to 23:59 — power limitation schedules for industrial consumers.

The indicated period does not mean that there will be no electricity throughout the day. The exact time and duration of outages depend on the region, queue, and condition of local power grids.

Ukrenergo explained that restrictions are necessary due to the consequences of massive Russian attacks on energy facilities. Equipment damage complicates the transmission of electricity to consumers and requires temporary reduction of load on the power system.

Energy workers warned that schedules may change during the day. In case of new shelling or worsening of the situation, restrictions may be revised.

To find out the outage times for a specific address, you can check the official websites and pages of distribution system operators — regional energy companies. The Ukrenergo message does not provide a full list of regions where restrictions will apply.

After power supply is restored, citizens are urged not to turn on several powerful appliances at once. This will help reduce the load on damaged equipment and avoid additional outages.

Recall that on October 21, hourly outage schedules of up to two queues were also in effect in some regions of Ukraine. According to Ukrenergo, in the morning, due to Russian attacks, consumers in Kyiv, Odesa, Ternopil, Kherson, Kharkiv, and Zaporizhzhia regions were left without electricity.
