On the night of October 22, Moscow Oblast, Russia, was subjected to a large-scale aerial attack. In the city of Serpukhov, the defense enterprise "75 Arsenal", which carries out repairs and restoration of military equipment, including anti-aircraft missile systems, was hit. Explosions were also heard in other Russian regions.

The attack on the enterprise was reported by the independent outlet Astra, which located the explosion through OSINT analysis of eyewitness videos.

According to Astra analysts, the explosion occurred directly on the territory of JSC "75 Arsenal" in Serpukhov. Residents of the city also reported powerful explosions after drones appeared in the sky. Some eyewitnesses claimed to have heard sounds characteristic of missiles, but the type of weapon used has not been independently confirmed.

Information about the attack on the enterprise was also disseminated by the Ukrainian monitoring channel Exilenova+, which published videos of the nighttime explosions.

"75 Arsenal" is a specialized enterprise of the Russian military-industrial complex, founded in 1949. It is part of "RT-Capital" of the state corporation "Rostec" and is engaged in the overhaul of military equipment, air defense systems, radar equipment and military communications systems.

In November 2022, "Rostec" officially reported that the enterprise restores equipment used by the Russian army in the war against Ukraine. In particular, its repair units worked with anti-aircraft missile systems "Buk-M1", "Buk-M2" and S-300V.

According to the corporation, the work included restoration of combat control posts, radar systems, launchers and other components of anti-aircraft systems. Thus, the enterprise performs important functions in the system of repair and maintenance of Russian weapons.

At present, it is unknown what specific damage "75 Arsenal" suffered and whether the attack affected its production and repair capacities. Russian authorities have not officially confirmed a hit on the enterprise. There is also no independent assessment of material damage.

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin acknowledged the large-scale aerial attack on the Moscow region. According to him, on the evening of October 21 and the night of October 22, 630 drones were heading towards the region. The Russian side claimed to have intercepted most of them on distant approaches, including 163 on approach to Moscow. There is no independent confirmation of these figures.

In addition, in the Voronovo area of New Moscow, according to Sobyanin, two people were injured.

Explosions this night were also recorded in Lipetsk. According to Astra's OSINT analysis, the city polyclinic No. 7 was damaged as a result of the attack. The damage to the medical facility was later confirmed by the governor of Lipetsk Oblast, Igor Artamonov.

The polyclinic temporarily suspended patient admissions, and patients were redirected to another medical facility. At the time of the attack, the building was closed, so no employees or visitors were injured.

Also in Lipetsk, several residential buildings were damaged, one of which caught fire. According to local authorities, there were no fatalities; one man was injured and hospitalized. The governor claimed that about 20 drones were shot down over the oblast.

Monitoring channels also reported explosions in Tula Oblast and an aerial attack on Belgorod Oblast. There was no confirmed data on damage to industrial or military facilities in these regions as of the morning reports.
