Russian troops attacked the food enterprise "Titan" in the Kiliia community of Odesa region two nights in a row. As a result of the strikes on October 21 and 22, a significant part of the production facilities, warehouses, product stocks, and the administrative building were destroyed. According to a preliminary estimate by the owner, the damage from the first attack alone amounts to about 143 million hryvnias, and the further operation of the enterprise is in question.

The scale of the destruction was reported by the publication "Bessarabia.UA" citing the owner of the company, Ihor Kapitan. Additional details of the financial losses were published by "Bessarabia INFORM".

The first strike on the enterprise occurred on the night of October 21. Russian drones hit the production and warehouse buildings, causing a large-scale fire. According to preliminary estimates, the area of destroyed production facilities is 4,932 square meters.

According to the owner, the modern slaughterhouse, which the enterprise had recently built, was completely destroyed. He estimated the cost of the building at approximately $1.5 million, and the installed equipment at another $1 million. In his assessment, this production facility is beyond repair.

In addition to production facilities, the enterprise lost more than 300 tons of food products. In particular, the fire destroyed about 200 tons of butter, 50 tons of meat, 20 tons of fish, and 40 tons of fermented milk cheese. Refrigeration chambers and other equipment needed for product storage also burned.

The enterprise suffered additional losses due to the destruction of its own energy infrastructure. Two months before the shelling, Titan had installed a solar power plant with a capacity of 1.2 MW, using loan funds.

According to Ihor Kapitan, the company must continue to repay a loan of about 20 million hryvnias for the solar power plant, which is now destroyed. This creates an additional financial burden on the enterprise, which has already lost a significant part of its material assets.

On the night of October 22, Russian troops attacked Titan again. This time, the administrative building, built in 2007, was hit. According to "Bessarabia.UA", the strike caused a fire, and the affected area was about 650 square meters.

The first floor of the administrative building also housed a bakery and rooms for making semi-finished products. They were damaged. According to local journalists, the fire was extinguished. No people were injured in either attack.

LLC "Titan" has been operating in Kiliia since 1998. The enterprise was created on the basis of the local meat processing plant and dairy factory. It specializes in the production of meat, dairy, bakery products, and semi-finished products, which are supplied under several brands.

The destruction threatens not only production but also the fulfillment of already planned deliveries. According to the owner, after the loss of equipment, refrigeration capacity, and inventory, questions arose regarding the enterprise's participation in tenders for food supplies to schools and kindergartens.

The management is currently assessing possibilities for resuming the company's operations. There is no confirmed decision on the final closure of the enterprise. The preliminary damage estimate of 143 million hryvnias referred to the destruction after the first attack, so the total losses, taking into account the second strike, still need to be clarified.
