As a result of a Russian ballistic attack on Kyiv on the night of October 22, the retail park "Pochaina" in the Obolon district of the capital suffered significant damage. The store of the international chain JYSK was completely destroyed, and sports retailer Decathlon temporarily suspended operations and shipment of online orders.

Damage to the shopping complex was confirmed by the CEO of "Nhood Ukraine", which manages the retail park, Hanna Koryagina. The loss of the JYSK store was reported by the chain's press service in a comment to Forbes Ukraine. Decathlon described the consequences of the shelling in its own social media.

JYSK confirmed the complete destruction of the store at Pochaina. At the same time, none of the company's employees were injured.

Currently, the retailer is assessing the damage and determining possible further steps regarding the operation of the outlet. The company has not yet disclosed the amount of losses and the prospects for restoring the store.

As a result of the strike, the Decathlon "Pochaina" store was also damaged. The company announced that the outlet would temporarily not operate due to the need to ensure the safety of visitors and employees and carry out restoration work.

The closure of the store affected not only offline sales but also Decathlon's online trade in Ukraine. The company explained that it was from Pochaina that all online orders were processed and shipped.

Due to the damage to the outlet, Decathlon is currently unable to contact customers regarding orders placed on October 21, 2026. Also, the company is temporarily unable to resume shipment of goods from this location.

The retailer will provide additional information on the timeframe for resuming store operations and online shipments. For now, customers are invited to other stores of the chain in Kyiv: "Decathlon Bilychi" at 6 Berkovetska Street, and "Decathlon Prospekt" at 1V Hnata Khotkevycha Street.

The retail park "Pochaina" consists of two commercial buildings with a total leasable area of 28.2 thousand sq. m. Among its tenants are Decathlon, JYSK, LC Waikiki, Argo, Colin's, Aves Auto Hub, and "Nova Poshta".

The strike on the Retail Park at Pochaina had previously been reported by Ukrainian Telegram channels. Subsequently, information about the damage was confirmed by representatives of the company that manages the property and affected retailers.

The extent of losses for the entire shopping complex has not yet been determined. There is currently insufficient information about the condition of other stores and tenants of the retail park to assess the overall consequences of the attack.

During the same night shelling, the hypermarket "Epicentr" located at Pochaina also suffered significant destruction. Previously, "Kurs Ukrainy" reported on the consequences of the massive attack on the capital, including damage to commercial facilities, the South Bridge, and metro infrastructure.
