On Friday, October 23, hourly power outage schedules will continue to apply in some regions of Ukraine. Restrictions will affect household consumers, industrial enterprises and businesses.

The national energy company Ukrenergo reported this on October 22 according to a message from.

According to the published forecast, electricity supply restrictions will apply practically throughout the entire day. The following measures are envisaged:

  • From 06:00 to 23:59 — hourly power outage schedules for all categories of consumers in some regions of Ukraine. The volume of restrictions will be from one to two queues.
  • From 06:00 to 23:59 — power limitation schedules for industrial enterprises and businesses.

Ukrenergo explained that the need for restrictions is caused by the consequences of massive Russian missile and drone attacks on energy infrastructure. Damage to power facilities complicates stable electricity supply and requires a temporary reduction of load on the power system.

The indicated period from 06:00 to 23:59 does not mean that consumers will be without electricity throughout the day. The specific duration of outages depends on the region, queue and state of local power networks.

The full list of regions where hourly outages will apply on October 23 is not given in Ukrenergo's evening message. Current schedules for specific localities, streets and addresses must be checked on official websites and pages of regional operators of power distribution systems (oblenergo).

Energy workers warned that the time and volume of restrictions may change depending on the situation in the power system, including as a result of new Russian shelling.

The company also urged Ukrainians to use electricity sparingly during hours when it is available. In particular, it is recommended not to turn on several powerful electrical appliances simultaneously after electricity supply is restored, so as not to create additional load on the networks.

Recall that on October 22, hourly outage schedules of one to two queues also applied in some regions of Ukraine. Power limitations were envisaged for industrial consumers.
