Since the beginning of the day on October 22, 146 combat clashes have occurred at the front between Ukrainian defenders and Russian troops. The occupiers continued offensive actions in several directions, simultaneously launching missile and air strikes on Ukraine.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in an operational update as of 22:00.

During the day, Russian troops launched three missile strikes and 48 air strikes, using 167 guided aerial bombs. In addition, the enemy employed 5,983 kamikaze drones and carried out 2,151 shellings of Ukrainian positions and settlements.

Situation on the main directions

On the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 13 Russian attacks. The enemy attempted to advance in the areas of Sofiivka, Vilne, Novyi Donbas, Myrne, Serhiivka, and Molodetske.

According to preliminary data from the General Staff, Ukrainian units eliminated 42 Russian servicemen on this sector of the front, and another 22 were wounded.

Two units of automotive equipment and four units of special equipment, a drone control point, and one enemy shelter were also destroyed. Five vehicles, three artillery systems, one unit of special equipment, two UAV control points, and 45 shelters were damaged.

In addition, on the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian defenders destroyed or suppressed 167 Russian drones of various types.

On the Slobozhanskyi sector in the areas of Izbytske, Radkivka, and Olkhovatka, the General Staff reported 11 combat clashes. As of 22:00, one battle was ongoing.

On the Lyman direction, Ukrainian units repelled five enemy attacks in the areas of Katerynivka, Kolodiazi, and Lyman. Russian troops failed to advance on these sectors, according to the General Staff's report.

On the Kostiantynivka direction, six combat clashes were recorded near Kostiantynivka, Dovha Balka, and Pavlivka. One battle was still ongoing at the time of publication of the update.

On the Huliaipole direction, Russian troops carried out ten attacks. Combat actions took place in the areas of Verkhnia Tersa, Kosivtseve, Vozdvyzhivka, Kopani, Charivne, Novoselivka, and Bilohiria.

On the Orikhiv direction, two combat clashes were recorded near Lukianivske and Pavlivka. One of the attacks remained unfinished as of 22:00.

On the Kupiansk, Sloviansk, Kramatorsk, Oleksandrivka, and Prydniprovske directions, the General Staff did not report any offensive actions by Russian troops during the reporting period.

At the same time, the published update contains a discrepancy regarding the North Slobozhanskyi direction: it is mentioned among sectors with combat clashes and at the same time among those without offensive actions. Data on activity in this direction requires clarification.

The General Staff emphasized that Ukrainian units continue to hold back Russian attacks and inflict losses on the enemy in manpower and equipment.
