Ukraine will temporarily restrict the processing of certain types of mobilization deferments through the "Reserve+" app. The restrictions will take effect on Friday, October 23, at 22:00 and will last for several days.
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine announced this. The reason is scheduled technical maintenance in the information systems of the Ministry of Justice.
During the maintenance, the processing of deferments for certain categories of persons liable for military service will be unavailable in "Reserve+". The restrictions will affect citizens whose grounds for deferment are related to:
- having children;
- caring for close relatives;
- the status of a family of a defender or defender of Ukraine.
The Ministry of Defense emphasized that the temporary unavailability of these services does not mean the cancellation of already granted deferments. If the deferment information is displayed in the user's electronic military registration document, it will be preserved during the technical maintenance.
The agency also warned that re-logging into the app will not help restore access to the temporarily disabled functions.
"Please stay in your account and do not log out of the app to log in again," the ministry urged.
Restoration of the processing of the relevant deferments is planned approximately after 08:00 on October 26. The Ministry of Defense promises to announce the actual completion of technical maintenance and the resumption of services separately.
The restrictions apply specifically to the indicated types of deferments. The ministry did not report a complete shutdown of the app or all its services.
Earlier, in early October, "Reserve+" temporarily suspended the processing of deferments related to the disability of the persons liable for military service themselves, their children, or parents. At that time, the reason was also scheduled maintenance, but in the systems of the Ministry of Social Policy. As Kurs.com.ua reported, the relevant services were restored on October 5.
In addition, since October 17, Ukraine has been undergoing another automatic extension of current mobilization deferments. According to the Ministry of Defense's clarification, this process will last until October 30. Deferments for more than 90% of citizens entitled to them may be automatically extended, provided the grounds are confirmed by state registries.
