On Saturday, several hundred people protested against the planned deportation terminal in Munich, according to Європейська правда.

As reported by "European Pravda", informs Welt.

Around 700 people took to the streets near Munich Airport in Oberding against deportations, particularly those concerning asylum seekers. A special deportation terminal is planned at Munich Airport to speed up and simplify the deportation process.

The protest at Munich Airport was part of a nationwide series of demonstrations.

Protests around Munich were organized as part of the campaign

"Stop the deportation terminal at Munich Airport!". The campaign criticizes Munich Airport GmbH for providing infrastructure for the expansion of deportations and deriving financial benefit from it. "By creating a deportation terminal, Munich Airport is providing the logistical infrastructure for mass deportations", said a campaign spokesperson.

"What was considered extreme yesterday is being sold today as a sensible infrastructure project. This is a clear sign of the normalization of right-wing demands. Anyone who wants to reduce the number of people forced to leave the country should create genuine regulations granting them the right to stay", he added.

The day of action under the slogan "The whole country against deportation madness" is directed against the deportation of persons denied asylum, detention pending deportation, and the expansion of infrastructure for these purposes. In addition to Munich, protests were planned at airports in Frankfurt, Cologne, Leipzig, Düsseldorf, Hanover, and Berlin.

Five member states working on launching the first deportation centers for migrants in third countries – Germany, Austria, Denmark, Greece, and the Netherlands – have made progress in preparing these projects.

The European Commission has also presented a five-point plan to prevent, forecast, and respond to sudden mass arrivals of illegal immigrants to the EU. This is linked to the events in Spanish Ceuta, when more than 72,000 migrants forced their way into the enclave.
