In Ukraine, until the morning of Monday, October 26, there may be interruptions in the operation of electronic services of the State Tax Service (STS). The reason is planned technical work that began at midnight on October 24.
The tax service warned on its official website on October 23. The agency asked citizens and entrepreneurs to take into account possible restrictions when fulfilling tax obligations.
Which services may be unavailable
Technical work is being carried out to maintain the information systems of the tax service. According to the agency, it is necessary to improve the stability of electronic services.
During this period, temporary restrictions on access to certain STS services are possible. However, the tax service did not specify which systems will be affected by the work and how long individual failures may last.
A complete shutdown of all electronic services was not announced.
What taxpayers need to know
Entrepreneurs, accountants and other users of electronic services are advised to plan the filing of reports and fulfillment of tax obligations in advance, taking into account possible technical limitations.
The STS also reminded about clause 42¹.10 of the Tax Code of Ukraine, which regulates the liability of taxpayers in case of technical failures in the operation of the electronic cabinet.
If the failure is officially confirmed, the legislation provides protection from certain types of liability for violations caused solely by technical problems.
However, the warning about possible interruptions does not mean an automatic postponement of the deadlines for filing reports or fulfilling other tax obligations.
In case of errors, users should record the time of the failure and save confirmations of unsuccessful attempts to send documents.
The tax service plans to complete the technical work on the morning of October 26. The exact time of restoration of full operation of all services is not specified. The STS promises to report changes through its official channels.
