From October 27 to November 1, traffic across the Southern Bridge in the direction of the left bank of the Dnipro River in Kyiv will be partially restricted. Vehicles will only be able to pass in one lane through the roadworks zone.
This was announced on October 26 by the Kyiv City State Administration with reference to the municipal enterprise “Kyivavtodorstroymost.”
The restrictions will come into effect from 7:00 a.m. on October 27 and will last until 5:00 p.m. on November 1. During this period, specialists will be repairing the asphalt concrete pavement on the overpass in the direction of Mykola Bazhan Avenue when traveling from the right to the left bank.
Repair work will be carried out in the third and partially in the second lanes. During the repairs, traffic will be allowed only in the first lane.
Due to the narrowing of the roadway on the approaches to the bridge, congestion is possible, especially during peak hours. Drivers are advised to take the temporary restrictions into account when planning their trips.
As a reminder, on October 22, traffic on the Southern Bridge was partially restored after a temporary closure related to the aftermath of a Russian strike on the capital. At that time, passage was first opened in the direction from the left to the right bank.
