Russian troops on the night of October 27 attacked Ukraine with 16 ballistic missiles and over 280 drones. The strikes were primarily aimed at energy, transport, and urban infrastructure. President Volodymyr Zelensky called these actions a serious escalation of Russia's campaign against Ukrainian logistics.

The head of state announced this in his Telegram channel, commenting on the consequences of the massive night attack.

According to Zelensky, the Russian strikes covered Kyiv and 11 other regions of Ukraine. Attacks were recorded in Kyiv region, Vinnytsia region, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk region, Kharkiv region, Odesa region, Chernihiv region, Sumy region, Donetsk region, Kherson region, and Chernivtsi region.

The President emphasized that the primary targets of Russian forces were objects on which the operation of the energy system, transport connections, and daily life of the population depend.

One of the most notable consequences of the attack was the repeated strike on the Southern Bridge in Kyiv. As a result of the strike, damaged metro infrastructure, automobile traffic over the bridge is blocked, and the operation of the green metro line is restricted.

According to the President, Russian troops also used ballistic missiles again when rescuers were already working at previous impact sites. As a result of the strikes, there are dead and injured.

Zelensky separately drew attention to delays in the supply of interceptor missiles for Patriot and NASAMS air defense systems.

In the President's opinion, prolonged delay in transferring necessary ammunition weakens Ukraine's ability to protect infrastructure from Russian attacks. He stated that such delays effectively help Russia achieve the goals of its strike campaign.

The head of state called on international partners to accelerate the implementation of agreed decisions on military assistance and increase pressure on Russia.

On the eve, October 26, Zelensky reported that Ukraine has been waiting almost a month for the signature of Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth on the supply of missiles for Patriot and NASAMS. The President instructed to discuss this issue again with the American side.

At present, specific volumes of damage to energy and logistics facilities in all affected regions are not specified.
