Reactive drone strikes Rozetka warehouse: aftermath of the attack

A Russian reactive drone attacked the Rozetka logistics center in Brovary while around 270 employees were inside the warehouse. One employee was killed, and seven others were injured, with one of the victims in serious condition.

The strike occurred on the morning of August 1 at around 11:28 a.m. Shortly before the explosion, the Air Force had warned about a reactive drone heading toward Brovary.

Rozetka co-owner Iryna Chechotkina confirmed that the Russian strike targeted the company's warehouse. According to her, employee Volodymyr Melnychenko was killed.

Seven other employees were hospitalized. One of them is in serious condition. The company promised to provide psychological and financial assistance to the victims and the family of the deceased.

"Unfortunately, nothing can bring a person back to life. Everything else will be rebuilt and restored. Rozetka is operational," Chechotkina said.

The number of wounded was being clarified throughout the day. The Kyiv Regional Prosecutor's Office initially reported six injured, while a later statement from the company mentioned seven wounded.<\/p>

According to the prosecutor's office, the deceased employee was 61 years old. One of the victims sustained multiple injuries and is in serious condition.

The explosion damaged warehouse premises and 13 vehicles. The published photos show burned and smashed vans with the Rozetka logo.

Emergency services mitigated the aftermath of the strike and provided assistance to the victims. The extent of the damage to the logistics complex and the possible impact of the attack on delivery times for orders have not yet been detailed by the company.

Law enforcement officials have launched a pre-trial investigation into a war crime resulting in death. The case is opened under Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
