The United States expanded sanctions against Russian military structures
The United States has imposed sanctions against a number of structures of the Russian Ministry of Defense, as well as two Russian companies and five Russian citizens, according to Європейська правда.
The relevant document of the US State Department was published on August 4.
The State Department said that the listed individuals and entities were designated for activities subject to the Iran, North Korea, and Syria Nonproliferation Act (INKSNA). The decision itself was made back on July 24.
The list includes the Main Missile and Artillery Directorate of the Russian Defense Ministry and its structures, the Russian Ground Forces and their structures, the Directorate for Advanced Interagency Research and Special Projects under the Russian Defense Ministry and its structures; the 1061st Logistics Support Center.
Also included in the list are the companies 'Gedion Alpha' and International Invest.
The individuals – Russian nationals included in the list: Alexander Ivanovich Prikhodko, Andrey Gusev, Andrey Vladimirovich Kosolapov, Vladislav Antonovich Morozik, and Sergey Nikolaevich Tsybarev.
The same list features individuals and companies from Malaysia, Taiwan, Iran, Syria, China, and North Korea.
Recall that in the United States, the adoption of a bill on sanctions against Russia is imminent, one of the co-authors of which was the late Senator Lindsey Graham.
It was also reported that the EU is reviewing its approach to sanctions against Russia.
