Umerov spoke about the non-public work on the negotiation track
Ukraine is ready to participate in all negotiation formats that can bring a just and sustainable end to the war.
This was stated on Tuesday, August 4, by the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov after a meeting with President Vladimir Zelensky.
The participants of the meeting discussed the negotiation process and further coordination of actions with international partners. The President was briefed on the progress by Umerov, Head of the President's Office Kirill Budanov, leader of the parliamentary faction 'Servant of the People' David Arakhamia, and First Deputy Head of the President's Office Serhii Kyslytsia.
According to Umerov, each participant was responsible for a separate area: interaction with partners, the course of negotiations, and further steps to strengthen Ukraine's positions.
The Ukrainian side maintains daily contacts with US representatives. At the same time, interaction continues with European states, as well as countries of the Middle East and the Persian Gulf.
The goal of these consultations, Umerov said, is to strengthen international support for Ukraine and implement joint security decisions.
Part of the diplomatic work is carried out non-publicly. According to the NSDC Secretary, Ukraine uses every day to strengthen its negotiating positions and achieve concrete results.
“We are ready for all negotiation formats that can bring about a just and sustainable peace,” — Umerov stated.
