No attempts to break through by Russian troops are being recorded on the border with the Chernihiv region. At the same time, Russia may use this direction for other purposes, according to РБК-Україна .

This is stated in a statement by the representative of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, Andriy Demchenko, on the air of the telethon.

According to Demchenko, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine previously reported intelligence data about possible plans of Russia to use the Chernihiv direction for an invasion attempt.

At the same time, even without having enough forces for an offensive, the enemy may resort to demonstrative actions.

"Even without having enough forces, the enemy may undertake demonstrative actions so that Ukraine would divert additional forces to this direction, not using them on more important ones," - explained the representative of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.

He emphasized that border guards are not recording attempts of Russian infantry groups to cross the state border, as well as activity of sabotage and reconnaissance groups.

Despite this, one cannot relax, because Russia remains a treacherous enemy, noted Demchenko.

Earlier, the National Guard reported that Russian troops had changed their tactics of offensive actions.

Instead of large-scale mechanized assaults, the occupiers increasingly use small infantry groups that unnoticeably accumulate near Ukrainian positions.
