Ukraine's trade turnover reached $82 billion in seven months

Ukraine's trade turnover in January–July 2026 reached $82.2 billion. During this period, the country imported goods worth $58.1 billion, while exports amounted to $24.1 billion.

This was reported by the State Customs Service.

Thus, the value of goods imported into Ukraine was 2.4 times higher than the value of goods exported. The gap between imports and exports of goods over the seven months amounted to $34 billion.

China remains the largest supplier of goods to Ukraine, from where products worth $16.8 billion were imported. In second place is Poland with an indicator of $5.5 billion, and in third place is Germany, which supplied goods worth $3.8 billion.

The mainstay of Ukrainian imports consisted of machinery, equipment, and transport. The value of imports of this category reached $25.7 billion. During its customs clearance, the budget received UAH 145.5 billion, or 28% of all customs payments.

Ukraine imported fuel and energy goods worth $10.5 billion. This category provided UAH 172.7 billion in customs revenue — 34% of their total volume. Imports of chemical products amounted to $10 billion, and the corresponding budget payments — UAH 66.5 billion.

The three largest categories accounted for 73% of the total value of goods brought into the country.

The volume of taxable imports was $40.9 billion, or about 70% of all goods imports. The tax burden per kilogram of such products reached $0.59.

The largest volume of Ukrainian goods over the seven months was exported to Poland — worth $2.8 billion. Deliveries to Turkey amounted to $2 billion, and to Germany — $1.5 billion.

The main item of Ukrainian exports remained food products, of which $14.1 billion were exported. Exports of metals and their products reached $2.5 billion, while exports of machinery, equipment, and transport came to $2.1 billion.

During customs clearance of goods subject to export duty, UAH 888.3 million was transferred to the state budget.
