Marhanets has been without water for five days: Zelenskyy announced dismissals
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has responded to the protracted restoration of water supply in Marhanets, Dnipropetrovsk region. The head of state announced that the person responsible for the situation will be dismissed.
The city was left without centralized water supply after the Russian shelling on August 1. As of August 6, the problem has not been fully resolved.
Zelenskyy stressed that several days have passed since the infrastructure was damaged, but the residents of Marhanets still have not received water. The President called this situation unacceptable.
The head of state did not specify the name and position of the person to be dismissed. It is also not yet reported when the water supply in the city will be fully restored.
Marhanets is regularly hit by Russian shelling due to its proximity to the temporarily occupied part of the Zaporizhzhia region. The attacks damage residential buildings and critical infrastructure facilities in the city.
