Russian Strike Destroys Ukrposhta Depot in Pavlohrad

On August 6, Russian troops destroyed the sorting depot and mobile branch base of Ukrposhta in Pavlohrad, Dnipropetrovsk region. Two female employees of the company were killed in the attack.

This was reported by postal operator CEO Ihor Smilyanskyi.

Another employee—a Ukrposhta mechanic—was injured. According to the company, his life is not in danger.

The destroyed depot served Pavlohrad and nearby settlements. Parcels, letters, medicines, and pension payments for residents of the district passed through it.

After the strike, the company switched to backup operational plans. Pensions, medicines, correspondence, and parcels will continue to be delivered on schedule, but minor delays are possible in the first days due to logistical reconfiguration.

Ukrposhta also promised to compensate customers for the cost of shipments destroyed during the Russian attack. The extent of the damage to infrastructure and property has not yet been disclosed.

At the strike site, rescuers continue to deal with the aftermath of the shelling.
