Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces Report Large-Scale Strikes on Russian Targets

The Unmanned Systems Forces of Ukraine reported striking 102 Russian targets within a 48-hour period on August 6-7. According to Commander Robert "Magyar" Brovdy of the USF, the strikes hit energy facilities, vessels of the so-called shadow fleet, Russian troop locations, warehouses, air defense systems, and communication assets.

One of the main focus areas of the operation was energy facilities in the temporarily occupied territories. Brovdy reported hitting ten power nodes over the two days. The precise locations and other operational details of these facilities are not provided in the report for security reasons.

The USF Commander also claimed strikes on six vessels in the Black and Azov Seas, which he identified as part of Russia's "shadow fleet." According to his data, these included two tankers and four bulk carriers. Information on the extent of damage to each individual vessel is not provided.

Additionally, the declared list of hit targets includes eight Russian troop locations, two fuel and ammunition depots, two radar systems, and a Buk surface-to-air missile system. The USF also reported strikes on railway equipment, fuel tankers, communication facilities, and three relay stations that Russian forces used to control combat drones.

Separately, Brovdy reported a strike on a Russian security-related structure in the temporarily occupied part of Kherson Oblast, as well as on repair bases, equipment storage sites, and other military objects in seized territories. Detailed data on their locations are not being published.

The latest strikes are a continuation of the USF operation against the energy and logistical infrastructure of Russian forces in the occupied territories. According to Brovdy, from July 1 to August 7, as part of the "Crimean Circuit Breaker Off" operation, 211 power nodes had already been hit.

At the beginning of this operation, the USF also regularly reported an increasing number of struck energy facilities. By July 7, for instance, the command reported hits on 44 energy infrastructure sites in occupied Crimea and the south, and by July 8 the number had grown to 50.

Simultaneously, Ukrainian drones have intensified attacks on vessels that the USF links to Russian logistics. In July, the command had already reported a series of such strikes in the Azov and Black Seas. Specifically, on July 20, the USF reported hitting seven "shadow fleet" vessels, along with air defense systems and energy facilities.

Previously, the USF noted that some of the attacked tankers are used for fuel transport. For example, after a strike on July 6, the command reported two tankers in the Azov Sea, each of which, according to the Ukrainian side, could carry about 7,000 tons of fuel.

The claimed strike results for August 6-7 are based on data from the Unmanned Systems Forces command. A full independent damage assessment of all 102 targets is not available at the time of publication.
