Russia has intensified pressure on the front: 192 battles occurred in a day

Since the beginning of August 7, 192 combat clashes have occurred on the front between the Defense Forces of Ukraine and Russian troops. The enemy attacked most actively on the Pokrovsk and Kostyantynivka directions.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the operational summary as of 22:00.

During the day, Russian troops launched one missile strike with two missiles and 53 air strikes, dropping 176 guided aerial bombs.

Additionally, according to the General Staff, the enemy used 6,540 kamikaze drones for strikes and carried out 2,359 shelling attacks on settlements and positions of Ukrainian troops.

On the Pokrovsk direction, 25 Russian attacks were recorded. According to preliminary data from the Ukrainian command, 37 Russian servicemen were eliminated in this sector over the day, and another 19 were wounded.

Ukrainian troops also reported the destruction of three vehicles and one piece of special enemy equipment. Two more artillery systems and three vehicles were damaged. The Defense Forces destroyed or suppressed 364 Russian drones of various types.

On the Kostyantynivka direction, Ukrainian troops repelled 19 assaults, with another clash ongoing at the time of the summary's publication. On the Slavyansk direction, 12 attempted advances by Russian forces were halted, with two more battles continuing.

Eight attacks were recorded on the Huliaipole direction, six each on the North-Slobozhanske and Kursk directions, as well as the South-Slobozhanske direction. On certain other sectors of the front, the intensity of assault operations was lower.
