Almost 60% of Ukraine's housing stock prepared for the heating season
As of August 1, necessary work has been completed in 83,553 residential buildings in Ukraine. This is almost 60% of the volume planned in preparation for the heating season.
Work continues in all regions despite Russian strikes on critical infrastructure. The preparation includes repairing buildings and utility networks, checking heating and water supply systems, accumulating fuel, and creating reserves for the operation of utility and road services.
More than 60% of boiler houses ready for operation
As part of the winter preparations, the following work has already been done:
- more than 83,000 residential buildings have been prepared;
- more than 6.2 thousand roofs have been repaired;
- utility networks in thousands of buildings have been updated;

Special attention is given to the readiness of communities for possible emergencies. Fuel reserves are being accumulated locally, backup equipment is being tested, and the resilience of life support systems is being strengthened.
Road services have prepared over 3.2 thousand vehicles
Road services have prepared more than 3.2 thousand units of specialized equipment for winter operation. Almost one million tons of anti-icing materials have also been stockpiled.
The main task of the state and communities is to complete the planned work before the onset of cold weather and ensure the stable operation of heat, water, and electricity supply systems throughout the entire heating season.
