Russia attacks fuel tanker in Odesa region, two people killed

On the afternoon of August 11, Russian forces struck a tanker truck in Odesa region. The attack killed two people and wounded three others.

This was reported by Oleh Kiper, the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration.

According to his information, the Russian strike hit a truck with a tanker that contained remnants of vegetable oil. After the impact, the vehicle caught fire; the blaze also engulfed a nearby passenger car.

The deaths of two people have been preliminarily confirmed. Three others sustained injuries. Authorities continue to clarify information about the attack’s consequences and the number of casualties.

Emergency and other specialized services are working at the scene. As of the time of the regional military administration’s report, no additional data was provided on the nature of the damage or the condition of the wounded.

This is not the first Russian attack on transport and civilian infrastructure in Odesa region in recent days. After the massive strikes on August 9–10, the region experienced damage to infrastructure and power outages.
