The Government of Ukraine will speed up the fulfillment of obligations under the Ukraine Facility program in order to receive the maximum possible amount of funding from the European Union. Prime Minister Serhii Koretskyi stated this following a meeting with the ministers responsible for individual strands of the program.

At the meeting, the government analyzed obligations already fulfilled and overdue ones, as well as problematic areas that could lead to a shortfall in funding. According to Koretskyi, it is now necessary to close existing obligations and meet the conditions for the third quarter of 2026.

Following the discussion, the Cabinet set specific deadlines for the completion of problematic items and designated responsible persons for each of them. The Prime Minister emphasized that the government must work ahead of schedule, since implementing the plan agreed with the EU is directly linked to the receipt of external financing.

According to government data, Ukraine has already mobilized €29.5 billion out of the €46.8 billion provided for under the Ukraine Plan. The European Commission also reported that after the nearly €2.8 billion payment in June, total support under the Ukraine Plan reached €29.5 billion.

The Ukraine Facility provides for financial support to Ukraine in exchange for the implementation of agreed reforms and other indicators of the Ukraine Plan. Disbursements under the main budgetary component of the program depend on meeting the set conditions and are made in stages.
