From 1 October 2026, Ukreximbank will stop servicing accounts of recipients of pensions, housing subsidies, benefits and other state social payments. If the client does not choose another bank, receipt of such payments will be automatically transferred to Ukrposhta.

As reported by Ukrposhta, the money will be delivered to the recipient's residential address registered with the Pension Fund of Ukraine. Additional application to switch to Ukrposhta is not required if the address indicated in the PFU remains current.

Pension, subsidy, benefit or other social payment can be received in cash directly at the place of residence. Delivery of funds will be free of charge.

What clients should do before 1 October

Recipients who actually live at the address indicated in the Pension Fund do not need to take any additional steps. From 1 October, Ukrposhta will automatically start delivering payments if the person does not choose another bank by then.

If the actual place of residence has changed, you must contact the nearest service centre of the Pension Fund of Ukraine. There you should update the address and method of receiving payments so that money arrives at the current place of residence.

Thus, the changes affect people who currently receive pensions and state social assistance through Ukreximbank. The amount of the assigned pension, subsidy or other payment does not change due to the change in the method of its receipt.

Ukrposhta notes that cash delivery is particularly in demand among the elderly, residents of small and remote communities, and those in frontline areas. Receiving money this way does not require an ATM, payment terminal or banking app.

The company also plans to further inform recipients about the transition to the new method of payment at its outlets.
