Ukrainians declared 323.9 billion UAH of income earned last year during January - July 2026. This is 16 billion UAH more than in the same period of 2025.

According to the State Tax Service, individuals submitted almost 215 thousand property and income tax declarations. Their number increased by about 5 thousand over the year.

Following the declaration, citizens independently determined over 6 billion UAH of personal income tax and another 2.6 billion UAH of military levy to be paid. The total amount of accrued liabilities exceeded 8.6 billion UAH.

Tax liabilities of over 1 million UAH were declared by 1,025 citizens. Among them, 72 individuals must pay more than 10 million UAH each, and eight – over 100 million UAH each.

The largest individual tax liability was declared by a resident of Kyiv – 760.7 million UAH. The tax service did not disclose his name and sources of income.

The declaration can be submitted not only for paying taxes but also for obtaining a tax discount. Citizens who during the year incurred expenses provided for by law and have documents to confirm them may claim a partial refund of personal income tax.

A declaration for a tax discount can be submitted, in particular, electronically through the "Diia" portal.
