"Ukrzaliznytsia" returns vending machines to regional train

"Ukrzaliznytsia" has resumed operation of vending machines with snacks and drinks in a regional electric train of increased comfort.

The company reported this on August 14 in its official Telegram channel.

The machines have returned to the modernized electric train EPL9T No. 007, which is used on regional route No. 826/825 Lviv — Ternopil — Khmelnytskyi. Thus, passengers can once again purchase food and drinks directly during the journey.

Two vending machines were provided for during the modernization of the train. "Ukrzaliznytsia" presented them as one of the features of the electric train, along with individual seats, tables, and chargers for gadgets.

Train EPL9T No. 007 received a second class of comfort after overhaul. It has soft seats with adjustable position, sockets and USB ports, mounts for mobile devices, enlarged luggage racks, and special shelves for suitcases.

The train is also adapted for passengers with disabilities: ramps, inclusive toilets, and spaces for people using wheelchairs are provided. Separate mounts are equipped for transporting bicycles.

Regional train No. 826/825 connects Lviv, Ternopil, and Khmelnytskyi. The project became part of "Ukrzaliznytsia"'s program to modernize suburban and regional rolling stock and improve service on relatively short routes.

The company did not specify what caused the interruption in the operation of the machines. Now the service is available to train passengers again.
